GRENADA CBI Insight

In 2024, Grenada's Citizenship by Investment Program (CIP) achieved unprecedented processing efficiency, handling 1,676 applications (1,583 approved and 93 rejected), an 11% increase compared to 2023. However, new applications saw a sharp decline, with only 420 submitted, an 81% drop year-on-year. A record-breaking 5,443 individuals gained citizenship through the program in 2024.

Real estate investment became the primary focus, accounting for 57% of approved applications, while the National Transformation Fund (NTF) accounted for 43%. In Q4, the number of approved real estate applications was more than twice that of NTF applications. Despite the overall decline in applications, December recorded 36 submissions, making it the fourth-highest month of the year.

The program generated EC$1.116 billion (approximately USD 413 million) in revenue for 2024, the second-highest in its history, just 1% below 2023. Q4 revenue reached USD 74 million, with real estate investments contributing 48%. The main sources of applicants were China (23%), Nigeria (19%), and Ukraine (6%).

Despite the drop in application volume, the average revenue per approved application remained strong at USD 261,000, close to the 2023 level, highlighting the program's enduring appeal.
